Boat totally loaded and ready to go early Sat morn for bluebills on the lower C. Motor won't crank when checked. Nothing. Not even a click. Spent almost 2 hrs checking stuff out. Pulled it to Auburn Sports early Sat morn. Dave, the owner had one of his guys jump on it since I was hoping to save the day and still get out for some divers. Thanx Auburn Sports.
They checked the starter, starter solenoid, wiring and finally tested the battery. Dead and shot. Not able to take a charge. My charger didn't tell me this. A quick install of a new marine cranking battery and I was off to the river.
In about an hour after setting up my spread the new Beretta A400 Extreme worked it 's magic. 2 for 2, then a couple misses at long passing birds then another decoying bird went down. Got on the water about 11:30 am and was loading the boat by about 2:45 pm.
