Title: General Season Archery Mule Deer in Utah's Manti/Central Mountains
Post by: swashington2128 on February 04, 2016, 12:26:34 PM
Hey guys, anyone putting in for the General Season Mule Deer in the Manti this year. I hunted it last year and had a fantastic time. Heading back again this year and would be interested in a hunting partner. If anyone is heading down that way let me know.

Looks like the season opener in 20 August this year.

How was the general hunt? Good deer on the Manti? I hunted it for elk and didn't see much deer on north end.

I enjoyed it. I was stalking good mulies every day. Average would have been around 160-170 class deer. I went after one that I think would have been close to 180. What I liked was I had the place pretty much to myself. Had a sheep herder ruin one stalk when he rode through on his horse but that is part of the game on public land.
