Which would you rather have for a take out into the woods and beat on a little bit type pf a gun?
-
mossberg..any day
-
If I had the money for either...??? Benelli of course. If money mattered Mossberg.
-
Those 2 guns are to far apart to compare
-
I have the 28" ported 835 fo water fowl and I have the camo 24" 835 Turkey gun. You know my vote.

How do you figure? The 835 is the equivalent of the Benelli... If you're referring to a Nova of course.
-
They are both pump guns, but I have no experience with the Mossbergs, but had heard of problems with them in the past. I have a Benelli Super Black eagle and if I was looking for a new pump gun, and those were my two choices, it would be the Benelli Nova, hands down.
-
Can I ask why only those two to choose from? If I had to choose from them it's be a Benelli Super Nova. But off of the list it'd be a Browning BPS for sure.

I have been doing some research and they are both in my price range and very hardy guns. i found a mossburg for $380. right now i shoot a ithica 12 gauge 2 3/4 which i like alot but its not a very good gun to get wet or dirty. It was also my recently deceased grandfathers and i would like to keep it safe for memories sake.

I have a nova and love it. I have not shot the mossburg so I don't know how they handle but if I were you I would try and shoot both and then decide. I don't like the feel of the remington 870 personally but you might consider it as well as the others. :dunno:
If you live near Buckley I would be glad to let you shoot my nova if you would like to.

I have a mossberg maverick model 88.. a $159.00 shotgun...never have had one problem with it..(other then user ) hhehehe
-
I own an 835 and would consider it an OK gun. I would suspect that the Nova is a little better quality overall. The 835 has some nice features though.... ported barrel and overbored. I would suggest picking and handling both. Pick the one that fits you the best. Novas do not fit me so I wouldn't buy one.

I own an 835, 500 and 935 Mossbergs. I am biased. The nova is anice gun. The forearm rattles and I have heard guys complaining about it. For the money and toughness...Mossberg. I have abused them and they keep on shooting.
