I am thing of scouting and would like some in put on this area.  What dose it have to offer deer elk bear. Thanks for any information.

Probably very few to zero elk.  Sure if you get up high enough you can find some bears in the alpine areas around.

I thought the EPA was gonna dig up all the heavy metals left by mining 100 years ago and close it down for a couple years. Retarded I know. Definitely bear and deer around.

It was scheduled to be complete by now, but I don't think it is.

Lots and lots of hikers up there. Less going up into Glacier Basin but still plenty of folks. Its a popular place and very easy access from the old road at Barlow Pass or the new road past the pass. Easy bike ride in though.

There is a bike rack in the town site so you can ride in and lock it up then backpack up into the alpine area. Seen 1 bear and 2 deer but no elk in the 4 times I've been up there. All in summer time though not in the late summer/fall.
