I haven't been to either of the other shoots but know a few people that went to the Idaho shoot a few years back said it was a lot of fun.
-
Do you have a better link? more info please...
-
That's all the info I found so far. I know the full draw firm tour nomally plays the new film one night.

Would be interested in going, sounds like a blast

About time this is coming to the NW. Definitely will be attending .

These shoots are a blast. Been going to them since it was the Bogus Challenge. Shot Tamarack and Hoodoo last year. plan on shooting all three this year.
-
I'm going to Hoodoo this year come hell or high water. Would prefer tamarack but it looked like all the day shooting was during the week and it was just night stuff on saturday/sunday maybe I read it wrong :dunno:
-
They have a night shoot on Friday night then shoots during the day on Sat and Sun. Usually have 3 courses.

perfect! Thank you!

I know that at Hoodoo and Tamarack they have shown a encore presentation of the Full Draw Film Tour on Saturday night also. Just about 3 or 4 of them. Not all of them.

Awesome! These shoots are so much fun.
One important thing to remember for this year, as it's new. You MUST pre register if you are shooting for money so you can be flighted prior to the event.
If you're just shooting for fun with your buddies you don't have to worry about it.

Cool. I shoot to train for the hunt, so not worried about money
-
Planning on being there all 3 days!

Completely new to this 3D shoot deal but want to start giving them a try. This one finally fits the schedule and has the plus of being able to see the Full Draw movie on Saturday night. I'm thinking this is a stupid question but I want to ask before going.
My wife enjoys archery and shoots a recurve. I shoot a compound for hunting. If we both shoot the bowhunter course and are not interest in the prize money are we able to shoot the course at the same time? I would hate to drive to this deal and find out the main event for the weekend we get separated out into groups and don't get to shoot the course together.
Thanks
-
Norse. Yes she can. If not shooting competition you can shoot with whomever. And she can shoot from where she wants. Its a fun shoot
-
Interesting.....
-
Make sure to check the birth certificates for the challenge. I dont want some of those under 40s trying to take my glory. :chuckle: :chuckle:

July 22-24... sounds interesting.

Agreed. I just found this, and am trying to put together a bus of tourists to participate.

The Magic Bus. :yike:
-
$140 per location to shoot for money and triple crown. :yike:
-
What is the cost if you want to shoot for fun?
-
I'm hoping to get out there Sunday for a day trip and too shoot the course that day probably for fun, but am also slightly interested in the competition. Have never shot a competition before, could be down, interested in the cost between the two.

For those that have been to the Idaho shoot is there lots of room for tent camping? Bringing the wife and kids.

Lots of camping about 5 minutes away on the lake. Gotta book a spot early though because they usually get pretty full. It's cheap and good camp grounds

Any update for the Stevens Pass Shoot? Lodging, camping?? Cost
Camping is available on site for rv/tent in the RV lot. Free. Otherwise nearest lodging is going to be Leavenworth or nearby forest service campgrounds. I just sent the information over to be put up on the website. Should be in the next couple days.
-
Thank You

Correction there is lodging in Sky 16 miles away

Yeah you're right. There will be link up for "eastside" & "westside" lodging. I didn't read up on the westside stuff too much.
-
Just booked a camp spot for the Idaho shoot. :archery_smiley:
-
So can you reserve a camp spot at stevens? I see it says camping is available.
-

I think stevens is just opening one of the parking lot areas for camping. It will probably be first come first served kinda thing. I booked a spot at the state park for the Idaho shoot.

No reservations. Just show up and grab a spot.

I thought It wont. Hunter class is fixed pin, sliders and stabilizers over 12" are pro... :dunno: :dunno:
I bought a Hogg it just for the shoot! Cant wait.
Now I'm confused because... I don't remember the last line being there "slider sights are ok"...
-
Well damn I'll have to step up and get different stabs cause my spot hogg isn't changing.
-
Got some more information regarding the shoot. Most of this is available on the website but just in case

* If shooting for money its $40 for the dead-on archery course & $50 for the pure elevation course. This money is paid back.
* MUST PRE REGISTER IF SHOOTING FOR MONEY
* RV & Tent Camping is free!!
Shoot flyers will be up soon.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Hope to see you there!!

Last day to buy Idaho tickets for the triple crown.
-
I got the 9:00 am shoot time Saturday morning looks like 29 shooters in the bowhunter class.
-
Go to Idaho and Bring the winnings back to Washington
-
Wish I could join good luck.
-
8am sunday shoot time. Only 20 people shooting this course for money. This leaves the triple crown shoot to be determined by 19 shooters at the most. A buddy of mine can't make the 2nd leg.

Pure elevation is several hours. Very steep terrain. The other 2 courses are family friendly and not as long.

Brock, You need to find the 6 year old boy that did the Pure Elevation with his father. They were in the group ahead of us. The boys name is Hunter, I believe they are from Graham. What a tough little guy. Carried his own gear and shot his Atomic at every target. He was impressive and deserves something special. I told him I was going to buy him a milk shake at the bottom but we never saw them down there.

I went yesterday and shot both the Pure Elevation course and the Dead-On course. It was definitely one of the funnest things I've ever done and I'm going to try to camp for the whole weekend next year. I liked how the very first shot on the Pure Elevation course was 70 yards, uphill, across the avalanche chute and giant boulders on a wolf. It really sets the tone right off the bat for the entire course. I also liked the metal bear at the end of the Dead-On course. Drilled the foam hole :IBCOOL: Great atmosphere too, met a lot of cool people and won some stuff in the BHA raffle. Definitely going back next year.

I did the pure elevation first thing this morning as far as I know I was the only one up there. I hunt eastern Washington so it was steep and deep but still tough cause I push myself all the time. Great times. I shot a 102 and no misses. I was happy with that cause I have not practiced sense february. Thank the best 3d I have ever done. Next year lookout I will take the money!!

I thought that was the case for a couple of my 5's but today I checked my 3rd axis and it was prefect.
I'm thinking the combination of fatigue, uneven footing and wearing my backpack had more to do with it for me.

I only had time to shoot the dead on and phelps course on Saturday but they were a lot of fun. We had a 7yr old tagging along and thought it was best to not press our luck on the pure elevation course. Great course set up! Here is to hoping we get another opportunity next year.

I had a great time as well. The Pure Elevation course on Saturday was tough, but I enjoyed every minute. Sunday was much nicer weather wise, and I had the pleasure of shooting with D-Rock/Darren.
The best part was getting a call from the owner of the "Bowsnatcher", who had a vendor booth/raffle going, to let me know that I won the new bow he was raffling off! Very stoked to say the least!

Elk calling seminar by Jason Phelps and Full Draw Film Tour capped off Saturday night. Along with a bunch of raffles.

That shirt really complimented the Llano Hoody :chuckle:

I forgot about this one from the nighttime fun shoot. It was disconcerting only having a small lighted circle to aim at in the dark.(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fuploads.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F20160727%2Fdb57270b4c314f6275e7850f46683362.jpg&hash=9e60a00e5e09d975acadf4b477625a004c6ca964)

I don't picture well :chuckle:
Super nice of Brock to put that nice boulder behind the 70 yard bear to stop everyone's arrows :chuckle:
None of those are mine by the way 8)
that little bear was one of my best shots, 70 yards and my farthest site was 50 yards. Nothing but foam!!

Cool shot of me that the Phelps crew took on the dead on course.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, folks.
Looks like a fun time.

I hope that wasn't the only Dahl sheep I ever shoot!
