I haven't hunted with them but I've been looking for a meat hunt and they are on my list. If anyone else has any info on them, feel free to chime in if the OP is alright with that.

Your driving up the wrong logging road!
Wyoming is what your after, non-resident cow moose tags can be drawn with zero to 2 points in most units that have tags. Go to the web site and take a look, we hunted it in 2014, we drew 2 cow tags, a few antelope tags and had an awesome time! Fully non guided and OTC DIY!
Cow tags are $1,400 dollars and the hunts are basically 100% success. You can't find this hunt anywhere else except Idaho for $2,200. Basically the only shot to hunt moose in the lower 48 without a crap load of points or cash. You can combine it with a deer, elk or antelope hunt too depending on unit.
