I think Shockey was hunting those a few episodes back. Sounds like they are pretty elusive and a rare sight.

Ok, you guys have twisted my arm. I'll toss one in too.

-
Awesome Shawn, that's a great photo, fantastic colors.
-
Can't get enough of those reflections
-
I hate it when you are trying to shoot a reflection and something walks in the way!!! :bash:
-
That place looks enchanting skyval...
-
Tease Sky. You know tahts next on my agenda.
Pope, is that what they call the Oxbow? I've never been, but want to someday. Used to be moose there.
-
Yeah, that's Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton Natl. Park. There are moose everywhere. I was shooting this scene last year and a cow/calf pair popped out on that peninsula in the middle of the photo. They are everywhere there. It use to not be so popular, but now it's overrun with photo geeks.
-
Here's one I kinda like. Heading home, driving off into the darkness. One of these days I will get a really good one of the sun setting behind me.
-
Another from last fall. I should have slowed down and cleaned off the mirror. Kinda cool getting both views in the same picture.
-
Cool Walt.
Thats cool light to catch on it. I've heard about it. Look forward to being one of those geeks someday. I'll need a different lens thoguh ;)
-
Sometimes sheep attack the car...
-
:chuckle:
-
And people ask me how I get so close to the animals I shoot... :P

That was a great day, you need to get all your honey-do's done so you can make it down a couple times this year.

Thanks boneaddict...I was thinking of how terribly cold it was standing there shooting photos when a beaver popped his head out of the water, and continued to swim on by. :yike:
-
I'm the reflection in this one. Kind of creepy. I'm standing shooting vertical. See Huntnphool's daughter on her knees in the black? The house door is also in the black area.
-
So POPE is that by chance the eye of "Baby" the albino reticulated python that the snake guy uses at schools and birthday parties?
-
Ah, a picture of "Purple" I just got a picture in an email a couple days ago, it seems "Purple" had a bit of an attitude!!!
And no Runamuk, Purple is not a baby :chuckle:
-
When is the Bar-B-Que?????
-
Well that sure looks like Baby but albino retic's do look similar ;) the snake guy out of the sultan area has a gorgeous and pretty gentle retic her name is baby, we saw her at school in CleElum several times, at school in Stanwood and at birthday parties. He also has Spike the very cool iguana, and a few less nifty devenomized snakes, gaboon viper, cobra, rattlesnakes. shudder. yuck.... I'm a bit of a reptile geek which turned out to be handy with boys :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
I think Joe told me Purple was 16'
-
I think Joe told me Purple was 16'
Cool 10 more feet to go to reach full size ;) they are big snakes and can have quite the tempers (as can be seen back in the bloody arm photo) Have you seen the normal retic's at woodland park in the reptile house? One of them was near 26 feet and was once a pet but became too much for the owners and the zoo ended up with it......
I love the constrictors they are such interesting snakes....
-
Well as you can see my daughter didn't have a problem with him, I on the other hand never got closer than what I was taking the photo. :yike:
-
Yeah, I didn't get very close to him either. I'm not much of a snake guy but it was fun to take a few photos... Here are a few more. I hope Joe doesn't mind me sharing.
-
That last photo gave me the willies.... Never liked any snake... Ever.... maybe the reason I liked AK so much - NO SNAKES.....
-
VERY COOL!
-
Not sure how I missed this thread so far....great pictures in here everyone!

Ok, here's another reflection shot. What I like about this one is how the duck's eye is reflected so many times.

Here's a couple from the archives. Oxbow Bend and Schwabacher Landing. Anxious to revisit these places at the end of the month!
-Doug
-
Another one, bufflehead from Juanita Bay.
-Doug

That's a nice Bufflehead image! Those ducks are really tough to expose properly. Great work!

Well probably not completely in the spirit of the thread title, but there are tree reflections in the pic!
From two Saturdays ago on a fish planting expedition. The last 1/2 hour or so before the sun went behind the mountain. My hiking buddy casting to some nice cutthroat.
