I've heard nothing but good things about Dunfur Kennels in Four Lakes, near Cheney.

gundogbreeders.com, should list a few.  You can choose to view Washington breeders only.  I know its been stated already but Dunfur kennels is were I will be getting all my future dogs.  My current shorthair was trained by Dan and I have see quite a few of his dogs, I'm glad he is so close because his dogs are some of the best in the country.  My advice to you is see the parents and make sure they hunt, unfortunately German Shorthairs are becoming very popular with the NON-hunting crowd.  Best of luck and great choice of breed.  I wouldn't trade nor sell my dog for anything.

 :yeah:

I got mine from a private breeder, he's a decent hunter...just lacks the drive I see in alot of other dogs. Most of his ability is natural, but he is from "family" pet litter. My Dad used to raise chesapeak bay's, hunted his female like crazy, did field trials and only bred her with hunt proven studs and those dogs came out hunting. It was amazing. I will spend the extra $ next time and get better lines.

The sire for my pup is from No Mars.  Outstanding bloodlines.

Not sure if they are still there or not, but West of Ellensburg along I-90 there is a red farm house that used to have a sign out for dogs. They raise horses and breed GSP's, almost bought one, but went with a lab instead. Don't have more info, but I'm sure someone might know the name or number.

There is a club for almost everything. I am certain the shorthair breeders at the Sportsman show had a breeder list. I can not say enough to the statement by PacificNWhunter. Dogs are like a lot of things you get what you buy. Find a hunting line that you like talk to people who have the pups. Don't be afraid to go out of state for the pup you want. I have four labs that I love to death but will not buy or take another "pet" quality lab :bash:. The difference is unreal. My first lab will be 14 next month and I would not trade her for anything as I started hunting with her :) and she was AWESOME until I hunted with a lab bred for hunting. Same goes for GSPs I got one for free and while she will hunt and do great for me for right now when I buy my next one it will be selected for upland hunting period.

Give this thread a little time for guys on here to drop in. You will get what you need on here. You are hopefully not in such a hurry that you need answers tonight. Gather the info do some research then make a decision. If all goes well the choice you make will benefit you for the next 10 years or so. Good luck

Reliable Kennels in Moxee, his dogs are top notch and he is very fair to deal with. I have one shorthair and one wirehair from him. I have hunted over a lot of his dogs, that my friends have got from him  with zero complaints.
