A word about the auctions. Ken has a bunch of new traps and other good stuff for the auction. There will be raffle packages available.
I've been asked to bring one of my traps for people to look at. We have been for a while setting up a table for trap designs. If you have something you want to share or you're just a show off like me, bring it along. We all gain when we share our ideas.
There will be someone to CITES tag otter and cats but only in the morning. Furbuyers, that is a tough one. I'm hoping for a couple. Adam will be picking up for NAFA.
Should be a lot of fun! You'll be sorry if you miss it!

See you all there

I plan on being there not to terribly far for me to go. I will be bringing a bunch of my leg hold traps to trade or sell if anyone is interested. I look forward to it. I always like the fur handling demos as there are literally so many ways to skin a cat. Finding which way works best for us is always our goal.
-
It's on my calendar.
-
Amy body out there willing to help out serving lunch. Our usual group that serves lunch had to bow out. We will be doing it. Probably going to need about 3 people.
Chili is on the menu.

I am leaving Saturday morning from Tri-Cities. I have room for three more. Anyone want to carpool?

 we will see you there!

I spoke to Ken last night and he has some good stuff for the raffles and we will have some raffle packages that include some extras. No guns this year but some nice traps.
Just a reminder to bring and donate your beaver tails to WSTA. They're not worth much but we have a buyer for them.
Also if you have something good you are not using we are happy to accept it for the auction. This is the main way we finance WSTA operations.
-
Dang :bash: I tossed my tails. Didn't know they wanted them. I for sure will save them for you guys next trapping season.
-
Dang I didn't know either , if I pick one up in the next few days I will bring it and expect some from me next year

Bruce. I was curious to know if they need to be fleshed and dryer or if frozen would be ok? I have a few in the freezer I can being.
-
We want them whole frozen or not. I believe they are going to be made into tail oil.
I had an item in the newsletter about it. I apologize for not thinking to post it on here.
-
Bringing a few beaver tails
-
I left a stainless yeti coffee cup on one of the tables when I left. Just wondering if someone picked it up.

Yes, I don't have it but I'll try and track it down.

Had a good time yesterday. I met several new folks, it was their first time involvement with WSTA, that was good to see. Hope they come to the Rendezavou.
-
Agree with Mark, great time was had and learned more than a few things . Picked up some good tricks from Bruce during the otter demo that I'll be using . Bruce , I am still a bit in awe of how little steel is left on your beaver knife lol
