Gonna be busting brush looking for outher side tomorrow. Stumbled on this one after kids got wet and cold. We were headed back to truck

Good luck !!!

Very nice! congrats. I really hope people realize a very small percentage of elk are losing their antlers right now and to get out and chase them around won't do them any good. Not trying to be a dick, just worry about wintering elk getting pushed too hard. Hope this doesn't turn bad, congrats on your find!

Agreed! Although, that antler looks to be from last year, maybe the year before.

Common sense goes along ways no matter what time of year. But that looks pretty fresh to me. Congrats on an awesome find passing thru!

Does look fresh to me as well, hopefully he finds the other side!!

Nice find. I sure hate working while everyone else is out having fun. Green with envy.

The antler is laying next to green growing weeds. It's looks to be spring time wherever he is. It's not like he is chasing the elk through the snow with a snowmobile. I think taking the kids out for a walk this time of year is just fine. Great find.

I wasn't out looking for sheds, was simply hiking around with my boys. I got outta church and decided to take advantage of a sunny day. Got couple miles from truck and rain hit. Boys (3 and 5) got cold, decided to cut across country back to truck. just a fluke I found. Everything I've seen on my hikes has still been packing.

So trophy, tax payers aren't allowed to use the land they pay for this time of year? You never know where you will run into elk this time of year. I saw three bulls today about 15 miles from the nearest feed lot in a foot of snow while I was snowshoeing. Am I not allowed to be in the woods?
Hey NS, do you work in the woods?
-
Awesome find I'm hoping to get out next weekend and start hiking
-
Last years bone... Very nice no one can find them all!!!

I don't think that was the intent of Trophy's post, he wasn't bashing the OP. They just aren't dropping yet, at least not where I hike around. Nice find!!
