Another fun weekend, and great hospitality from Scott and his guys.
-
That's a ton of birds :yike: How many guys over how many days? What was the total number?
-
Bird flu did less damage... :chuckle:Looks like a great shoot
-
Wow, quite the haul of birds, congrats! I hope you have a bunch of pheasant recipes you've been wanting to try.
-
There was actually 17 of us, a total of about 160 birds or so. This was just a quick shot we wanted to take.
-
Now let us know what that cost please.
-
Umm, where and how much?

based on the website @155$day for 5 roosters unguided hunt and 31$ each additional bird .. I would say a boatload!

tag for my new pup!

When you rent the property for a weekend it's a set price, and varies on the group. Call Scott and talk to him, some of our group has been going for 20yrs or so. I've been going for about 4 now, it's in Sprague. I would highly recommend him for any hunting, he does it all there. The hospitality, professionalism is second to none, and very accommodating.

If a few guys with new pups wanted to go I would be interested in a trip sometime.

Around 300 for the weekend, one hit plans it all, and buys all the food,so I don't know what part is for the hunting vs.food. And trust me, we eat like kings, and drink like alcoholics.

since I no longer bird hunt I would luv 2 get a handful of tail feathers. mike w

so roughly 5K for the group, you said 17 peeps or around 10 birds per, his prices were 155 for 5 birds... the perk to me is the room n board... sounds good for a large group.. was their room to hunt separately? small groups? alone?

I think they have 7 different field set ups. I've only shot out there 1 time, and it was on the bigger of the fields. You could hunt 3-4 people on that one without banging elbows. For a weekend of shooting, running a dog, and hanging out with buddies, 300$ sounds more than reasonable.

I agree. Been to Miller Ranch a couple times. Well ran, very professional, worth the $$$ imho, especially when you're working with young dogs. I have a little video from last time for those of you who want to see what one of the hunt areas looks like. I'm no professional videographer mind you...

Great video, how much of the country looks like that, I have a rescue that needs to get over some birds. I was previosly told that most of country was sage brush. Similar to parts of CC, which isn't what I want for this guy. He has has had the chase squirrels. cats ie stuf that runs out of him. i need to get him excited on some easy stuff. Price sounds great.

Nice video. Looks like a fun place to work the dogs.

I've spent quite a few weekends there, cabins are great,BBQ on the deck. Shoot pheasant and varmints! Love it! Even have a trap set up!

It all looks like that-great place to work a young dog. Quality birds too.

Another thumbs up for Miller Ranch here. I have been there 4 times now, 2 with a young dog for training purposes and two times because the season was over and we needed to hunt birds. Great realistic cover and the ability to take beginners or elderly hunters on some of the fields and have a great hunt. Well worth the money if you want to get a young dog on birds in good cover.

Miller Ranch is great for young and old, newbe and seasoned. (https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fuploads.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F20160807%2Faf996ca3ed615908fff0055b64e8445b.jpg&hash=ef09a7be1e301e0bd7cd4f5583a7e44755ab5f8d)

Any snake issues?
-
8 years I've been going, never seen one, I'm sure there is, but we usually go in April and the weather is cooler and wet
