Yeah I remember this video from a few years back. Pretty crazy. I've imagined the same situation with myself in mind in western wa with maybe a lion. Can't carry a firearm so I try to atleast always have a 6inch blade on me when im out. Big enough to hopefully reach vitals given I have the mindset to grab it if something is goring and biting my face off.

No chance of restoring your rights down the road? We have a couple friends who were able to do so.

Then he'll be bringing guns to the warehouse. We don't want that! :yike: :chuckle:

And no. The level of my crime pretty much voids those rights for the rest of my life unless I can manage a presidental pardon. With everyone so anti gun these days I never see that happening even though I'm a perfect example of how someone can not become a minority.
That whole "once your part of the system your always part of the system" thing is complete BS.
Apply yourself. Change your life. No ones gonna do it for you.

Very good, sir
FWIW I think its b.s. but that wont buy a person in hell a glass of water :sry: If you were a danger to society, you should still be behind bars. If you have malace in your heart, I doubt a law prohibiting possession is going to stop that. Novel concept, huh?

Yeah if it was that easy. It would probably cost me 20grand in legal fees and a lawyer just to get told no. I've talked to two free attorneys just seeing if it was worth persueing and both pretty much told me without a presidential pardon its not happening. If I could find the right lawyer to want to persue it, it could potentially work. I did alittle digging and what I could find from 2010-2013 there was roughly 60 presidential pardons granted to people with varying crimes from drug smuggeling to armed robbery of a bank. But out of how many requests I don't know. I don't see too many people forking out money to persue right restoration to that level. I basically would have to prove that I've changed my life.

Smossy,
You're setting a fine example though and your attitude towards life in general will do you fine. I haven't met you but from what I've seen and heard here your a stand up guy. I can carry but a lot of times while bow hunting I carry a 6" blade on my hip and it's always accessible. Cats are sneaky and although I wouldn't want to fight one with a knife, it's better than nothing at all.
