I'm looking for a great camping spot between Chewelah/Colville with possibly hookups during Turkey season. Any suggestions would be great Thank you in advance :)
-
Beaver Lodge. Its East of Colville 20 miles but that is the only thing I can think of. I believe the 49er Motel in Chewelah has hooks up as well
-
Try the Colville fair grounds. Full hookups and dump.

10 more miles north there's a motel with RV lots in Kettle Falls, full hook ups.

:yeah:
My friends and I have stayed several times at the Fair Grounds --- you can pay by the day or week. They have bathrooms with showers as well as full hookups (power, sewer & water). No cable TV, but who cares during turkey season. Pretty quiet also.

Great thank you Appreciate that :) looking into it now

Keep in mind the fairgrounds camp sites close for certain venues, so always call ahead if planning to camp there.

Sold the 25 ft RV and bought a fancier 31 footer with double slide and kitchen slide .... camping in style! But going to miss the season this year since I'm being sent to San Diego for 3-1/2 months for aircraft carrier work oversight.

I think looking for a place to hook your camper up youre selling yourself short. Lots of cool places to camp, why not forget about the power?

This is true Bango Skank ?. I do prefer to dry camp but we don't know the area that well and we will be coming over later Thursday evening so it's a matter of two ladies setting up real quick, doing some scouting then hunting for Turks the nxt morning. If you have an idea of a great dry camp spot I would love to hear? :-). Other than that now we are trying to figure out where is closer to Chewellah the Colville Campgrounds or the Beaver Lodge? Thanks again everyone for the feedback :-)

No campfires at the fairgrounds. I'm on private property now. Maybe someone on here can help with a nice spot. There are a lot of good ones on public, but they will probably have campers there by then. Anyone living there have a spot?

Check out the Refuge. Outhouses, fire pits, never over crowded,
Bear Creek Campground.
Middle of turkey country.

Very nice.

You will be at the cnf. Pull over some where level and off the road and your set. Literally thousands of places to dry camp. Almost every road coming off flowery trail is public land and turkeys all over. Pull out a tack and a cnf map and close your eyes. Punch that tack some where and go camp and hunt.

Colville Fairgrounds is much closer to Chewelah than Beaver Lodge. Also, you will doing more driving to get to Turkeys if you stay at Beaver.
