I don't normally get too excited to get out opening weekend for spring bear (drew Huckleberry WOOT!!!!) but this forecast got me droolin'!!!!
Last time I drew, 5 years ago, I was on bear in lower elevation middle of April and it wasn't nearly this warm yet. Usually I'd consider this weekend a glorified scouting trip, but with this warm of weather, I'm thinking there's a chance to see a bear to two.

Should be perfect weather for a Spring bear hunt. Good luck, hope ya get a good one.

Wonder how the grass is growing?? Based on my tag last year, seams a little early regardless of the nice weather.
With that said....I am no expert. Good Luck and make sure to post pics.

Generally i agree, but you never know. Year before last i saw a decent color phase bear in 121 on april 1st at about 3500 feet. And last march 29th got a bear on cam in a neighboring unit. Never know may get lucky. And cougars still open too so if youre calling could notch your 2016 coug tag. If you have the free time why not hunt it if its open right?

As long as you're out there you have a chance. You definitely won't see anything at home on the couch! That being said, I hope to out in 49 Deg N April 15, 16 & 17.

I'm definitely going to call this weekend, but am bowhunting, so maybe I can put an arrow in a kitty!

If you can believe that, it's actually gotten better!!! WOW! 70 degrees on April 1st! Really hope this isn't a joke!!!!!
