Any experience with this pack? Looks way too big for my needs but I also like the idea of having the room if I want it. Any thoughts on its compression ablity for day hunts with the occasional 3-4 day hunting/backpacking trips thrown in?

I should also mention I'm looking at it for 40% off last year's model on the nice frame. Been looking for a good pack for the last year but the high price tags have held me back, thinking the deal might be too good to pass up but don't want a pack so huge I hate it a month later

That is a really big pack no matter how you spin it. Not a bad price point but if your only going on a 3-4 day trip max there are better options out there. Just my :twocents:

Thinking it's too big for me. What a deal tho!

I disagree, I think it's a good size for 3-4 days. I run either a 5500 ci, or a 7800 ci pack for 3-5 day hunts. I never fill them completely, but I've also never ran out of room. You can always compress a big pack, but a small one is always small. I use both my large packs for day hunts.

I agree with 7mag.
I use my big pack for everything but day hikes. Just cinch down the compression straps.

Good advice. I'm gonna dive in, especially at a chance to get one of their last usa made bags

On camofire right now if you are looking to buy.

I have this pack, been great so far

Received the pack early in the week. Camofire is a hell of a website, they had my bag to me in 3 days from order. I'm over the moon with this pack, so so glad I didn't pass on that great deal and look for a smaller pack. Totally bulletproof and very very comfortable, look forward to putting some weight in it and going for some training hikes

This is the best deal on a pack I have seen in a long time and I think you will be very happy with it..

I bought the MR Marshall off of Camofire. It's been great so far. I've had 85# in it a few times on 4-6 mile hikes and it's been great. I'm still adjusting it but it rides miles ahead of my Ebelerstock. And to get it for the price I did; Freaking great deal.

I also bought the Marshall earlier this year. Super easy to break down and compress for a day hike. Great quality and USA made. I love this pack so far. Hope to see how it packs out a bull in MT in a few months. Definitely recommend though.

First overnight up in the high country. This pack handled the weight great!
