Title: Arrow cases - what do you reccomend?
Post by: JDHasty on May 17, 2016, 09:26:13 PM
I see Cabela's has a Plano that holds 18 and sells for north of $40 and a compact Plano and MTM and an ultra compact MTM that are all betw $20 and $26.

I have kept my arrows in a couple PVC tubes but now that I am shooting carbon arrows they are very particular about which broad head and so I want to be able to spin them and then store them as a unit and keep arrows and broadheads together.

I use the Plano that holds 18.  Got it on sale for mid 20$ i think.  Works great but had one issue with it.  1 of the arrow spots on each side hits the middle supports and bends the arrows.  So its really a 16 arrow case.  Idk if thats a common issue or just an issue with mine.  Ive had it for a year now ... forget the reasons I decided on it over the ones you mentioned.  I had actually picked up one of the MTM ultra compacts and returned it(not based on my use but reviews changed my mind).

The clear Plano case is nice because it has storage boxes on the ends for things like heads, nocks, and has a built in broadhead wrench.
Worth the extra $10 over the long run.
