Title: ACTION ALERT: Don’t let Congress pass anti-gun measures after recent tragedy!

Click on the link, TAKE ACTION, pass in on.  It will take about a minute of your time.

NRA-ILA ACTION ALERT:
https://act.nraila.org/takeaction.aspx?AlertID=261

"Don’t let Congress pass anti-gun measures in wake of recent tragedy!

Your Action is Needed NOW!  NRA has just learned that Senators Schumer, Feinstein and other anti-gun elected officials are going to offer several anti-gun bills and amendments this week in the U.S. Congress, possibly as soon as today!

These measures are wide-ranging and include an attempt to reinstate the failed federal ban on semi-automatic firearms, commonly referred to as the “assault weapons ban.”

It doesn’t matter that the Clinton gun ban did nothing to reduce crime.  This is about YOUR freedoms and YOUR Right to Keep and Bear Arms.   But it doesn’t stop there.  In fact, one amendment will attempt to strip the Second Amendment Rights from those on secret government lists while another will require federal registration and licensing of all gun owners.

And, they’re also planning on pushing for increased federal funding of anti-gun research.

This is an anti-gun package that we must defeat.

What’s obvious is that many who want to destroy our firearm freedoms are using the terrorist attack in Orlando to push their anti-gun agenda. They’re trying to strike while the nation continues to grieve and many Americans look for answers.  It’s clear that Obama’s continued failure to protect us from radical terrorists is the problem and leadership is what we actually need, not gun control on law-abiding Americans.

But they’d rather blame you as a law-abiding gun owner than make Obama answer for his failures in the global war on terror. We can’t let them succeed in this depraved attempt to politicize a tragedy so they can destroy our freedoms.

You can reach your U.S. Representative and Senators by calling 202-224-3121 or clicking “Take Action”.   Contact other gun owners you know to tell them this threat is real.  Action is needed now."

I called Senator Murray (202)224-2621 and Senator Cantwell (202)224-3441 and asked them not to pass any more gun control bills.  I got right through and it only took about two minutes yesterday.

It takes all of three minutes.

Even though our two Senators and several of our Representatives will rarely, if ever, vote to support and defend our Second Amendment rights per their promise (Oath of Office) to the people they serve (that would be all of us), we continuously need to clearly let them know that We the People are out here, and that we expect, and demand that they protect our rights and freedoms.

If they continue to neglect and chip-away our Constitutional rights and freedoms, we need to work very hard to make sure they are not re-elected.  Grassroots efforts can easily overcome bad politics and politicians that are misdirecting their efforts and personal ideologies.  All We the People need to do is get involved and engaged in the political process, VOTE for people that will support and defend our rights and freedoms, encourage ALL of our family, friends, colleagues, and people we talk to in virtually every public venue to do the same.  Contribute, support, and help all good political candidates that will support and defend our rights and freedoms whether they live in your district or not; they all need our help and support.  The objective is to have a majority of people representing us in the Senate and House that will support and defend our rights and freedoms.  With a majority, we can turn things around to where we are truly represented again.

Unless we ALL get involved and engaged as stated above, we will continue to lose our rights and freedoms.  Apathy and complacency will cost us our rights and freedoms.

Oath of Office - United States Senate:
http://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/history/common/briefing/Oath_Office.htm

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."
