Drew the upper owyhee rifle deer tag in Idaho nov. 1-24. Just curious if anyone has drew this tag and is willing to share some info. Pretty pumped! Big bucks!!!!!

Wow! Congrats, never been on the Idaho side, I do know as you do there are some chubby bucks in that area! I am hoping one day to pull one of those tags!
-
Which unit is that? I've hunted unit 42, so I can give you some info if it is in that unit.
-
It's in unit 41, just north of 42 if I'm not mistaken

Talk to as many previous tag holders as possible so you can set you expectations appropriately. I know some dang good mule deer hunters who have set themselves up for disappointment on the 41 hunt. It's a bit different than 40 or even 42.

I archery hunted 40 last year and saw some great bucks. I am sure the genetics are similar, but it may be different habitat. I was there in August and the bucks were bached up; they obviously will not be in Novemeber. I'd say if you're seeing does, you're in the right area.

Sorry guys, I was being a dumb ass! My hunt is in unit 40. Thanks for all the info fellas! Much appreciated!

40 is a great hunt. I had a buddy with the rifle tag last year. PM me and I can send you his contact info.
