Title: If a guy wanted?
Post by: Commando on June 24, 2016, 08:21:28 PM: I want to start putting in for a missed hunt next year. But I have absolutely no idea about any of the units. So my question is if a new guy wants to start putting in for a moose tag which units would y'all recommend putting in for?

I drew Idaho moose in 2005, first year I applied.

i think you have to buy a lic then pay the full amount for the moose draw, if you don't get drawn you get your money back for the permit but out the money for the lic. At least that's how it worked when I applied in 2007. I then bought an over the counter deer tag and killed a buck.

Ding ding ding. If you plan to hunt either deer or elk as a backup there is no reason not to apply
