Title: Best Bow for Daughter
Post by: stewcamp on July 08, 2016, 12:09:54 PM
Looking for the best compound, highly adjustable and lightweight for my 12 year old daughter. I shoot a Diamond and love it so I was looking at the new Diamond, Like it but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas out there. Thanks in advance for any help. Looking for something she can grow into and use for hunting as well later on. Getting her into archery has been fun.

Mission craze hands down best bow for a kid, & reasonably priced since all you need is 1 bow. I bought my 10 year old one.

Take a look at the Diamond Razor Edge while you are at it.

I bought one of those for my youngest daughter.  I didn't realize it was a longer ATA than the Craze.  Kids will be shooting the bows again this weekend, I will see if I can get a good comparison on which one they like best.

I am thinking that the craze is working better.  The edge is longer ATA and right now it is a little big for my youngest.  That might change as she gets bigger but right now it is a little tricky.  My oldest, now 14 shoots lights out with the craze.

I just picked up a Diamond infinite edge for the young lady shooter in my house and that bow is very nice, draw weight adjustment from 5-70lbs and draw length adjustment 13-30 inches.
She will be shooting this bow for years...

Second the Diamond Razor Edge, My 15 year old has shot hers for a couple of years.  Great range in both draw length and weight.
I am thinking when the youngest, 11, gets just a little bigger the edge will fit her better.  The edge is just a little longer than the craze.

Im 15 and just recently got a diamond edge sb-1 from bowtech. It adjusts to 7 to 70 lbs and I can say from owning it that it is a really nice quality bow.

I bought my wife a bear apprentice III recently and I must say, for an entry level kids/women's bow, it shoots very well.  I cranked it all the way up and all the way out and shot it quite a bit and was very impressed.  The grip is very nice.  Ordered it new off eBay and to my door step was $199 .  She is enjoying archery so will step her up next year to a carbon rose and shelf the bear till my daughter (6) can pull it.

I like both the craze and the Diamond Infinite Edge. Decisions decisions. Thank you everyone for the input. Kid just wants to shoot. Especially when Dad is out shooting.

I got my 12 year old son the Hoyt Ignite. He loves it. He shoots competition and deer hunts with it. A great bow for a beginner with plenty of room for adjustment as they grow. Draw weight adjusts from 15-70 pounds. Draw length 15"-30". A well built quality product made in USA.
