Well I just bought a Weatherby vangaurd in a 240 WBY, and want to build it into a light weight rifle.
Anybody have suggestions for a light weight stock, Also a good gunsmith to une this up and maybe do some fluting?
Thanks guys!

I put my vanguard in a Blackhawk axiom. Light, adjustable length of pull, and free floats the barrel

Never thought of one of those, ill have to look into it. I was looking at a bell & carlson last night but couldnt find a weight to see if it was lighter than the factory Griptonite stock weatherby is using :dunno:

Another vote for Manners! Downside is I'm currently on a 36 week waiting list for my next manners.

My gun is being built right now with a manners stock. Took 10 months to get the stock delivered after placing the order. There are some ready to ship stocks on their web site if you don't need a custom one.

I had Wayne York put on a Pendleton Stock, I really like the fit and finish  I also had him Cerakote the barreled action.

Thank you for all the input. Anyone know the weight of a vangaurd S2 stock?

I like my Manners stock, except if you have it painted, don't expect the paint to hold up to much abuse. I waited 7-8 months for mine at the end of 2014.

Boy's gun stocks are nice if you ever get them to send it to you
