Will be going up the weekend of the 30th and 31st to check trail cameras and to put a few more out. And check out a few more areas
Been working out a lot lately trying to lose some weight for this hunt as I found out quickly on my scouting trip that I'm way to out of shape :chuckle:
To say I'm excited for this hunt is an understatement. been losing sleep over it and been buying new equipment just for this hunt

If I can steal some of my relatives game cams I will head in next Friday and put them up. But google earth has been giving me more and more ideas. 1 or maybe 2 more good weekends in there and I think ill have my areas dialed in.

Went in two weekends ago to the area we hunt, and saw lots of elk sign. We are going to hunt in a blind (natural materials) for the first day or two, then attempt some calling in a different area.

Crazy in the wilderness people will miss with your trail Cameras more then when your with a mile of the road first camera someone punctured the camera sensor the second one someone opened and read the sd card but at least put the sd card back in some whatHow far into the wilderness were you? Sucks that people can't leave stuff alone.

I drew it in 06 and arrowed a decent 6x6. Passed on a 5x5 and missed an opportunity at a monster, black antlered toad. They hand out a good amount of tags in there, but keep in mind, that tag has a pretty low success rate for the amount of elk it holds. You must become numb to the failure of missed opportunities and keep pushing!
