Title: How Big?
Post by: Wacenturion on July 28, 2016, 08:41:34 PM
After having bear problems with a smaller tripod feeder on my property, I changed up to one of my pole feeders.  The top piece that extends out is 15ft. tall and with the 30 gallon Moultrie barrel hanging down, the bottom of the feeder mechanism is approximately 10ft above the ground.  Since it is pointed uphill on a slope it is probably slightly less than that.

Previously on the tripod feeder awhile back and tonight checking out the new pole feeder.  Darn bears....lol. :chuckle:

Goofy bears, population is high in the southeast, could use a season pre elk calving.

There is one. It's called Spring Bear Season.

Spring bear, southeast?  Special permits by draw, good luck with that.
