What are you calling BS on? That it's not a Washington Moose or that the animal is not really that large?
I used to measure the bulls we kill but they seem to average nearly the same with not much variation between them so I've quit doing that.
Granted these are Alaska-Yukon Moose from the Seward Peninsula and I suppose the bulls running around your woods are not nearly as large but they are still an enormous animal.
Nose to tail they stretch 10 feet. Hump to front hoof 7 feet. They are a big deer.
Maybe the one pictured is not in your state but I don't see what is wrong with the photo. Looks normal to me.

Plus moose are very big up north my 1st moose I shot in Canada was a 58 in. and made the horse I was riding look small and TeX is a big horse to be able to carry my fat ass around all day.
