So since the season is approaching I am going to start the typical pre season forum discussion. I would like to know what calls are on your lanyard right now if the season started today?? Mine right now has the rnt short barrell (m y current favorite call) rnt daisy cutter and the PC joker for duck calls. My goose calls are the PC 4 of a kind and a Molt Gear X series. With a Coon creek whistle to round out the starting lineup. However I just traded for a TG super thang. We will see if it can make the squad before the season. Could be a competitive battle between the goose calls! Yes I basically run my lanyard like I am a sports GM and it is preseason(my wife has been getting a little annoyed with my practice calling around the house :dunno: :chuckle:). I also have a strong bench but i am trying to sell(wife's plan) or trade some calls to fund some new dakota decoys.
just want to know what everyone else is running??

Right now on mine is Pacific Call Joker, 4 of a Kind, a wood double reed. In the mail right now is a Lynch Mob and Hayes goose call so they might be on sooner rather than later. At the end of the month I should also have my coon creek whistle on there too. Hopefully add an echo call before the season starts.

My "A" lanyard, Has a RMC Gold Digger 2nd gen. A Taylor Talker Comp call and an Echo Meat Hanger and as kicker a Custom Cocobolo Hayes goose call finished by Charlie Hess with broke in custom guts and a Saunders reed. "B" lanyard has a Taylor Talker original, a Cadence call and a Snake River Custom call with a Taylor Talker Original Goose call with green broke in Zink guts and an area 51 reed. I just got a Cold Front Downdraft today that might bump one from the string. Zuttermeister makes a dang good call as well that might bump one from the string.

Hey Badhabit, how do you like that rm call? Thinking about trading for one.
-
Wingman, If I were in the market for another call I would jump on another RMC. What call are you possibly trading for? The CNC Cold Weather Fan for the cost $85 on sale is a screaming deal. I think he's on gen 3 with the Gold Diggers. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up and digger or CWF. If it's a Skank, Tramp, Gold Digger, Mistress or Soul Crusher you're trading for get it. Soul Crushers are like finding the Holy Grail. easy $800. Mistress easy 700.

Can I try it? I have always thought about picking up a traffic.

Just picked up an Echo Meat Hanger on sale from Cabela's, so as of now I have an Saunders Original Guide Series Acrylic Goose Call, Echo Meat Hanger, Echo Diamond Wood/Poly Timber, Cabela's SLD-1, and a 6 in 1 Whistle.

I run an RNT single and Pacific double reed
-
Well I finally decided to see what all the talk was about and pulled the trigger on a RMC CWF. They have some discontinued acrylic colors that are $30 off the normal pre built price. I can't wait for the mail to show up!

Right on. Can't wait for a review.

Hopefully you have your call by now and are blissfully disturbing the neighbors with you practicing in the garage!
-
I have a duck call...... :dunno:
-
I have a Zink that came with a DVD and has never sounded right, it sticks all the time and is really high pitched. I also have a clearance cheapo of some sort that I use 95% of the time.
I think it is time to invest a bit of money, any suggestions for something under $100 that is easy for a beginner to pick up and pretty much tried and true?

I have my muzzleloading musket capper :dunno:

Para cord range finder lanyard. Fits just above the bino's made it myself! Adventures in Paracord.👌🏽

I absolutely love it. I think it is going to replace the DC on the lanyard. It reminds me of the daisy cutter but it has even more rasp and bark. Great call! I see a rm pothole in the near future.

I would suggest the rm cnc acrylic cwf! There are 3 colors on sale for $85. Also I really like the echo diamondwood/poly double reed timber I think they are $50 new. Very easy to blow for me and I am very very far from being an expert on a call.

Wingman, once you drink the RMC punch it's hard to stay away!! You should join the FB RMC page. Stump makes some jaw dropping beauties out of stabilized wood.
