Any recommendations from someone who has this gun? I'd like to narrow down the bullets that I run through it so I don't end up spending 100's of dollars trying to find a round it likes.
I don't reload and I don't want the most expensive bullets.
This will be used for elk.

I know a few guys that have had great success with 180 grain hornady ssts

Whatever factory ammo you buy, make sure it will function in your rifle! I reload, but due to not being able to find the components I use, I only had 7 rounds to take to Idaho last season. So I bought a box of factory shells at Cabela's on the way, as a "just in case", and although they did (just barely) fit into the magazine, they would NOT feed out of it. I shot it to check for zero with the factory ammo, but did it one shell in the rifle at a time.
All good though, one shot from 505yds...done. For a stock rifle, I love my Tikka!

I shoot the Hornady Superformance 180 gr SST outta my Tikka and it loves them. Deer, Bear and Elk at various ranges and been extremely happy with the performance of the bullet. No issues with feeding or cycling brass.
