:) Hey everyone!! Just bought myself a new rifle for Deer Season this year! Haven't hunted rifle in like 5 years. I picked up the browning x bolt walnut stalk in a 30-06 caliber! I am looking for a scope now. The guy at the store recommended a Leupold but i just cant remember which one he said. Any recommendations for a scope and Round/load for this beautiful piece of machinery.

There is a Burris Fullfield scope in the classifieds.
I have two and they're excellent.
One lives on top of a Tikka 300WSM and has never had to go back to Oregon for that awesome replacement service.

A thread entitled "New Gun" and it has no pictures of the gun? A permanent ban should be enforced! :ban:

Nice looking rifle. Shoot be a great shooter, most Ablots and X Bolts are in my experience. Have fun with it!

nice art work, ive been using 165 gr for the last 30 yrs..hornady interlock. shoot one round cool barrel, clean with brush, and patch to get out all the mill fillings, repeat for 10 rd's. then shoot group's of 3,then 5.

Leupold VX3i 3.5-10 or 2.5-8 would be my choice.

Factory ammo remington cor-lok 165 have always been accurate in the '06s I've been around. Scope choice leupold. VX 2 or VX 3. You'll be set for life and your kids life too!

You can't go wrong with just about any Leupold scope. VX1, VX2, or VX3... they're all good, it just depends on how much money you want to spend.
I think the VX2 is the most bang for your buck.
Ammo, whatever it shoots best and also depends on what you're hunting. I'd start out with 150 grain Winchester Power Points. Available at Walmart for about $20/box.
