We had to go to expensive electric fences in our Montana operation because they were doing about 30k in damage a year to us. Bears can be darn resourceful, they'll dig under your fence, climb over it, etc if they are hungry. It seemed to me that the Bears were far more concerned with eating the brood than they were the honey so perhaps they needed some protein in their diet.

Post by: Caseknife on August 18, 2016, 07:07:27 AM: I too was laughing the whole time. That bear was reaching a long way down into that stump to get what he was after. I sure wouldn't want a snoot full of pissed off honey bees. Bet his nose was a bit swelled up after that.
