What is a good early season elk, long sleeve shirt. I'm looking good for gray in color. Once I shed my jacket after the morning, I would like to just wear a long sleeve shirt. Any ideas?

You want a collared shirt? Or non?

I've lived in my first lite llano all summer long scouting, hiking, and hanging stands and plan to be in it opening mornin. I love it in hot weather.

Merino wool. Just picked up a First Lite llano in their fusion pattern, single layer handled high temps just fine. They also have a lighter weight aerowool now too.

I like the Kuiu stuff. If hot out and I still want a long sleeve I'll wear their tiburon shirt. Extremely breathable and comfortable.

Their lightweight synthetic peloton is real nice too, or if you like the wool, the 125 weight merino wool is great too.
If you find any good deals on the core4element stuff, their tops are super comfortable and at a great price. Camofire may still have them up every once in a while, not sure.

In September I like to wear a nylon Columbia fishing shirt, with a slightly softened finish. On cool days I will add a synthetic T under it.

On the other side of the spectrum, cabela's had their pattern long sleeve shirts on sale for 6.99. I wore it for 7 days in Wyoming and it held up through multiple cactus low crawls.

I can vouch for him wearing it all the time..he loves that shirt

For non camo, I recommend lightweight minus33 wool. It's softer. Or Core4Element Pivot for synthetic.

Minus 33 brand merino wool.
It's unbelievably versatile.
Just what you are looking for.
