Title: Gallagher Head Lake Area
Post by: bradgoodrich99 on September 01, 2016, 01:48:56 PM
Has anyone hunted this area for Mule Deer? I typically hunt in the Colockum pass unit but thought I might give Gallagher head lake a try....any advice?

If you just want access and set up a base camp, it may be fine, but like others mentioned, don't expect to be alone. It's a destination near the end of a popular 4x4 trail. If you want to go up and over the ridges, you might find animals but probably not so much in the lake valley.

I've seen a huge buck at the lake one time when I was backpacking
