Where do you guys place the tag on a bear?
I'm gonna go kill one tomorrow ( I hope) and was just wondering
-
I throw it in a game bag with the meat or a bag with the hide.
Yes I know that isn't per the regs so the Internet police can ignore me. :chuckle:

Thanks Chris for a practical answer.

I was thinking maybe in the mouth

Mouth or ear. I normally skin out skull ,so that don't work for me. so I put it inside the pad on one of the legs

I was thinking maybe in the mouth
I usually put a stick in the mouth to hold it open so that a tooth can be pulled easier. I'm sure the mouth would also be a good place for a tag too.
Good luck! We want pics when you smack one

With my luck you may be waiting a few years. But I'm always hopeful ;)

I'm just glad SuperOne has good meat prices from time to time. And I can donate my extra cash to WDFW for tags I don't notch.
-
I'd call it tag soup as my fav. But it's more like tag stew due to the tag concentrate I've added over the years.

I like to carry zip tie's in my pack, you can zip tie it to the biggest piece of meat or to the body if whole. Good luck

In mouth, tied to lower jaw.
