Title: What happened with WDFW pig hunting
Post by: btlsoom on September 03, 2016, 04:37:51 PM: Does any body know what was the outcome of the WDFW going in and killing the feral pigs in the Columbia River Basin in Grant County? They closed the area for the month of August to shoot them from the air. Hope a few survived....

Post by: Swag on November 16, 2016, 01:26:09 PM: A good friend of mine was involved with the pursuit of these pigs, and the first attempt was deemed a success, but sense then there has been reports of at least one sow and seven piglets still roaming around in the potholes area.

I'm not sure why you'd hope some survived. I'm assuming you've seen the damage they do?

feral pigs are considered as "unclassified" so you can shoot them without a license/tag...just make sure you don't shoot an old blue butt next to someone's farm that just busted out of its pen....that will get you a felony

Post by: kidkodger on November 19, 2016, 02:38:07 PM: I went on a pig hunt in Cali. Had to buy an annual out of state plus a tag. I think was about $250 to the state for the privilege of helping them with the feral hog problem. At least it was fun!
