Smoked him 105 yards! Remington 700sps .30-06, Remington Core-Lokt .150, Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14x40mm BDC recticle.

Tried to neck shoot him and I shot high. Blew his skull and brain completely out on the left side instantly killing him. Tanning a tail for my 9 year old son. I was bear hunting so that's why I shot it with my 30-06.

Nice dog. Post up if you get that bear! I used to live in the south hill Spokane and hunted up your way a lot. I would spend more time hunting there still but its 7+ hours from me one-way. Way to share with your kid.

Might go back up their next Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I usually see a bear every two days on average. I love my boy enough to give him all my trophies. It's all about the young ones. Some of my fondest memories ever are hunting with my father and things he has shared and given to me over the years.
