Title: Got the E-mail today, Drew another OIL tag.
Post by: Halo on September 09, 2016, 07:22:56 PM: I cant believe it. I drew another once in a lifetime tag. South Dakota trophy bison in Custer State Park. Time to dust off the old .338 Win Mag and see if its got another one shot bison kill in it. Most of the Trophy bull hunts are producing Boone & Crocket record book bulls, this should be fun. If it is half as fun of a hunt as my Wyoming wild bison hunt I am stoked to get going.

Meat turned out great, It hung for two weeks and is excellent table fare. Not nearly as tough as I feared it might be.

I'm not positive. A friend will be making the trip back from there with a utility trailer the first week of November, if nothing else he offered to pick it up.

It was $250 to have it shipped, shoulder mount, skull and the tanned back half of the hide. It should arrive on Tuesday. I cant wait.
