This time of year where would be the best elevation to look for bear? Still in the meadows? Thanks fellas

I've hunted them at 6000+ feet into October. Sightings start dropping though end of September early October. Instead of seeing 10-15 in a weekend it's down to single digits once October rolls around. That is depending on how berries are doing of course.

So there's a great meadow at 3400 with tons of sign and berries but I haven't been there in a few weeks. So would it be better to hangout there or get up high like what you do?

If the sign is fresh. I've been finding the sign at around 4,000' but early morning frosts are starting to come on.

I would hunt where the sign is fresh. If you hit a meadow at 3400 feet and there isn't any fresh sign you could keep going up until you find berries.
Two things I look for when bear hunting. Their food source, and no human presence. If there is food and no people you should see bears.
Good luck
