Basically anything metal just to prevent rust. Does anyone use WD40?

Anything you'd use on your gun will be sufficient.  I don't like wd40.

I'd look into freedom juice it's scent free wd40 is just a water displacement stuff doesn't touch any of my equipment aero kroil for the guns it's a very fine micron oil won't gum up in cold weather. Also go grab a can of air for cleaning CPU keyboards to clean the dust & debris off the working parts on your bow
