Every once in awhile when I have time I'll swing into the pawn shop to see what I can score.
Well I hadn't been there in almost a year until today, I had a little time to kill.
So i walk in and the first thing I see is a rack of bows, sweet!! so being an archer myself I couldn't not look. There was seven or eight bows hanging there, most were old PSE's, one Hoyt and one Bowtech Assassin.
So being a Bowtech guy of course I grabbed the Assassin. First thing I noticed was the string was missing, so I figured most likely it was dry fired, and probably very likely has bent cams, and it does, other than that it looked in great shape, limbs look good. So thats the bad part, needs cams and strings, probably $250.
Now the good part. on the bow was a Spott Hogg 7 pin Hunter Hogg it w/wrap and the knob, 12" bee stinger stabilizer and a Trophy Ridge Revolution rest and a Trophy Ridge 4 arrow crappy quiver. OK, sight and stabilizer are good I said to my self, so how much is she? so I found the sticker with the price on the bottom limb...It said a Whopping $100 bones!! :whoo: :IBCOOL: Holy Peep!! I about pulled a hammy running to the counter with cash in hand. $108 out the door.

The sight and stab are well worth $100.

New cams (Bowtech $150) and new strings (Ebay $40).
I picked up a Carbon Knight earlier in the summer and now that this Assassin bow is going to be good to go once i get it to the bow shop. I'm going to trade out the bows that my boys have now and get them updated with these two newer bows, I snagged the stabilizer and sight off the Assassin for my bows, but my boys have pretty decent components on their bows now that we will switch over. I think they'll be pretty stoked!!
