Title: Bears and Logging?
Post by: Machias on October 03, 2007, 12:04:48 PM
How much does ongoing logging operations or recent logging operations affect bear.  Went up a couple of weeks ago to my favorite bear spot and the top of the Mtn was logged off and a new road put in.  They didn't devesate the area, left quite a bit of cover in slices and spots, but I was wondering what you all's experiences has been in those areas.  Thanks for any input.

Nope, I ended up eating my $372.50 tag.   :'( :'(  Had a little crisis come up at work and then I had to run back home to MO for my Mom.  Talk about seriously bummed.  I hope you and your Dad have a great hunt!!  I am going to chase some bears this weekend, either up north or over in the Manastash Unit.

I think it can really help a good bear area, as long as they don't log too much and it doesn't run them off.
