Very fortunate hunting season this year. I got my first animal ever, archery cow elk and first animal with a rifle, an antelope in WY.
Awesome to see how perceptive and fast these animals are. We found a herd of 30 animals and intercepted them where we believed they would migrate to. Got out of the truck and into position, eventually we were noticed at 200 yds. This resulted into a standoff, they bedded down, we were on our bellies, for about 20 min. Eventually the herd buck stood and began to lead the group away from us. I spinal tapped him at ~220 yds and he went down immediately.
Successful first out of state hunt, meat and horns, and more experience gained.
Good luck to all still out trying to fill tags!

Congratulations on a successful hunt.
American pronghorns are the fastest land animal in North America, and the second fastest in the world. They're lots of fun to hunt, and their meat is some of the best if cared for properly.
