:bash: I would have been able to shoot my second cougar.
Pretty cool experience how it happened. Was driving back to camp at 3pm and saw a bunch of crows circling. We were thinking they were on a gutpile, so as we drove by the area was looking for where they were landing. As we came around a corner, 1 crow was making a dive from 20' up and then it pulled up, did a quick circle, and then repeated the dive/pull up. On the 3rd dive I saw what he was harassing, a very large cat.
It was on a slow trot towards the ridge line 40 yards up. He won the race as I was just lifting the rifle up as he topped out. >:(
Hiked around the area for awhile, cat tracks were abundant, but found no sign of a gut pile or kill.
Wondering why that crow was dive bombing the cat?

Maybe it ate what the crows wanted or buried it and you just didn't find it :dunno: cool experience though. Thanks for sharing
