At this point you probably should get which ever one the store still has! I'd grab a Honda!
-
I'd also grab a Honda but I wouldn't pay a premium price for one right now with this pending storm.
-
No issues or regrets with my Honda purchases. :twocents:

Ive used both. I own a Yamaha. I think its every bit as good as Honda.
-
I have the yamaha ef2800 inverter. It will run my a/c in my trailer which was a big plus for me.

I am in no hurry, have 3500 watt now. Amazon had the Honda for $899.00 thinking about a smaller lighter model

Can't go wrong with a Yamaha or Honda.

That being said, I wouldn't trade my Yamaha kicker engine for anything.

My Dad has a Honda 2000 for his camper. Quiet, great on fuel and light enough to put it into a storage compartment on the back of the camper ( the place where you'd install a permanent generator if you wanted one mounted)

Flip a coin or pick the color you like :twocents:
I have friends with both yama and hondas and no complaints either way

I almost bought a Yamaha, until I noticed this.

If youll be in Spokane anytime I have a honda 2000 I'll sell you. I have two but don't need both anymore. PM me if interested. I was going to sell on craigslist after hunting season when I have time.

Hondas are great and quiet. I'd go with craigslist for big savings. Older ones were made in Japan. Newer ones somewhere else, maybe Korea.

I just bought a eu3000is Honda generator a few month back. it was made in Japan. :dunno:

I picked up this one just before muzzy season, pretty good reviews for it, kept the trailer batteries charged up but struggled with the little microwave. I ran it for a couple hours a day and only put 2 gals of gas in it all week. It's not whisper quiet, but you can jave a normal conversation next to it. It also has economy mode that ramps it down and is even quieter. It's pretty light, too.

I love my Honda 2000's. I bought both the standard and the companion to make 4000 watts so i can run the AC on the Travel trailer.
I bought them ....ooohhhh 5 years ago maybe, $875 and 925 for the companion. Love em, VERY quiet.
They've never had anything but non ethanol gas in em and Ive found its good just to start them every six weeks or so whether I'm camping or not.
47lbs with no gas.

I have the Honda 2000 & love it. That being said, the Yamaha & champion are good, too.

I have a Honda 2000 and it runs the ac just fine on the trailer. Skilsaw, paint gun ect all work great off it.

My old generator is a Craftsman, I bought used off craigs list for $125.00 about 20 years ago. it is a 3500 and starts every time but is heavy!!! and loud. thought a lite little Honda might be nice.

If he does not take you up on that, I would be interested in your extra generator.

You will have a very hard time finding anyone who regrets buying a Honda. Mine is powering the house as I type this.

thanks Gutpile, but 350 miles is a long way to go to buy a generator!!!

I have a Honda 2000, great on fuel, runs everything in my house but the stove and heat pump on Eco idle! This is including a full size fridge freezer, and a mini freezer, plus lights, tv, surround sound, Internet, etc. love it
