Thanks fishnfur, but that buck was originally posted by jkthomps. It's his buck. I was with him when he shot it. I was commenting to jkthomps that it's nice to see that the deer finally laid down. He was a stubborn one a very tough deer that gave me a new appreciation for blacktails!
My driveway deer is still making his rounds, looking for love! I've been informed by my wife that he's "off limits"! I'm still hunting, trying to fill my tag!

Thankful to put more meat in the freezer. This buck was fighting with another buck. Glassed him up with a good buddy through his spotting scope. dumped him at 600yrds.

That looks like a whitetail mulie cross.

600yds - Nice shootin'!

Adding the 2 bucks our group got this year. The 3 point was our buddy's son's first deer.

Love the way that Idaho buck has the forward forks curling inward. Really nice looking rack, haven't seen a Mulie with the configuration, white-tails wrapping inward almost touching but nothing like that on a Mulie. Really great buck, congrats to whoever got the pleasure of nocking him down.

Boshogg - that shot is my favorite of the entire season (so far). Love the close-up face shot with the fence a bit out of focus. Death can be ugly at times, but you did it justice on this shot. Good one!

:yeah: What an old war horse!
Had a cut on the nose, hooves were missing chunks and both his front knee's look like he slid down a rocky road but other than that he was in really good shape had all his teeth. Huge body.
-
12 yr old son's second deer. The mulies (weather) didn't cooperate so he took this blacktail in the late season. He's upset that he didn't get an elk this year to complete his trifecta. What impressed me this year is his stamina, he was wanting to hike in miles for a muley with no complaints, and is already planning some hike in hunts for bear next August. He also is wanting me to build or buy a teepee tent for some backpack trips in during the snows where we cannot get the vehicles into. Crazy youthful spirit!
