Only got one today but it was a Drake mallard, didn't hunt long but hey we made it out.
-
This what our party did. I watch from afar today which was a different perspective watching this geese fold in the sky and drop like stones. When I did get in the blind with the guys...clear skies and conversation. Not a shot fired be me.Maybe tomorrow.
-
I went out with some friends today and we ended up with nine ducks ( Mallards, Spoonbill, Teal and Widgeon) and three Geese. I had a flock of Woodducks come in and missed the drake. We could tell we were rusty. we missed a lot more than we hit
-
Great morning with family and friends for the hunt. h2ofowlr and his son joined in for The hunt. It was good to meet another member and make some great memories as well! The geese weren't cooperating like we wanted but the ducks made up for it. 8 man limit of ducks with snows and cacklers added in.

No pics, but we had our best day ever. My son packed a gun for his first time and we bagged 2 mallards, we had wave after wave coming in and working the decoys and the rule was I wouldn't shoot until after he did. We will have plenty of years where he will shoot circles around me but for now I'll cherish the memory of him jumping out of bed at 4:45 and the first time we called and shot together.
-
Decent opener. Lots of birds flying that's for sure. Ended up with 2 green, 1 hen, 1 pin
-
Ended the trip with 3 ruddys, 2 ring necks and a wood duck. Overall a great start considering the weather they were predicting!

solo hunt today, ended the day with 5 teal and a lot of misses... new gun, first time hunting from a layout blind, and missed all last year so I don't feel too bad. I need to knock the rust off with a few more hunts!!!!!
-
Three limits and a honker.
-
Wait, you guys actually shot ducks? Gross. I just pretend.

Big honks!

Did good this weekend for a two man limit and a bonus cackler!
-
Great to see a waterfowler get success at a young age!
Looks like a good start to the season! Great job!
Three of our members had a good opening afternoon on a Know Where To Hunt field
-
We were on the X yeaterday. One short of a three man limit. It was a really amazing hunt with planning and scouting coming together with birds landing exactly where you planned for them too.
-
Great day, today, on one of our Fir Island KWTH fields.
-
Slowed down in my neck of the woods this weekend, but still managed one and I'm happy with that and a great morning outside!

Bluebird days is hard hunting around here. My guys had to hunt most of the afternoon. It should be better on Tuesday. The wind will be up around 15-20. They'll be moving then... good luck!!

You're my hero! That's awesome!

Good sized flocks of wigeon are moving in.

Nice, I'm starting to think you don't have any pictures of birds not in multiples of 7.

First hunt of the year yesterday. Feels great to get back out on the water!(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fuploads.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F20161026%2Fd3cf35fc790eaa2e333bffbfe0958e5b.jpg&hash=871f71e9b0d672b17c9a23dc69f5d55c31befc1e)

Very few! Those usually fall under the diver or sea duck hunt categories. Those bag limits require a very mixed bag to reach multiples of 7.
-
My beautiful wife! Hi honey lol You left your acct open!
:chuckle:
-
KWTH Field 8 produced a 7 man limit in 2 hours yesterday morning.
Had one land in the blind... Awesome day!
-
A couple of firsts for me today. Ended it with 5 birds, including a drake mallard and a widgeon. Both I see people bag on a regular basis, but not for me so I was stoked!

And it was nice out, great day to get out hunting!
-
Great job!
-
Quick limit of snows. Lots of them around and spreading out after getting banged around in W. Mt Vernon for the past 5 days.
-
Nicely done!
-
Seeing more green where there should be lately, beat up the snows 3 days in a row when they were coming in fresh
-
Good looking limit!
Great Job!

Got a 3 limit limit.
-
First all drake limit of the year!
-
Finally got into some birds last weekend! 3 man limit, 2 bands, and a goose!
-
First hunt of the season.
-
Got a mallard drake today. But while going through a flooded field to get him, I stepped in a submerged irrigation ditch and soaked everything up to my chest and completely submerged my gun. Any suggestions for cleaning it and preventing rust? I have done that before. Strip the gun completely and clean throughly and let it sit torn down to dry than reassemble
-
Yup .. strip the gun down. Wipe down with your favorite gun lube. Let dry, reassemble. I hunt salt and do this after every hunt. Really liking frog lube right now.

Shot 6 today including my first triple, which was awesome. What is not awesome is watching eagles grab 2 out of 3 while your retrieving the first duck. All in all tons of fun today.

Couple more from the holiday weekend. Lucky enough to have shot 9 bands on two hunts! We had a pair come in on the first hunt on Saturday and both birds were banded. The next day we hunted a different area and Our buddy Jeremy shot a bird that went wide right and it turned out to be banded, interestingly enough it was banded on his birthday. The next group of birds that came in we shot into a 5 of the birds were banded to include a neck collar. We were all freaking out! One bird had sailed and we could not find it before it got dark and thought it to be a loss. Well, overnight we all decided that we would go back in the AM and look for it because there was a high possibility that it was banded. We took all the dogs including my toy Aussie and went back out. We found the spot that the coyotes had ate the bird it was about 800 yards from where we had hunted. We could not find the feet and so we started a grid search. Well, Our buddy Jordan found it sitting on top of a tumbleweed! It was incredible! So, that brought our total to 9 for the 2 days! The picture below shows the 7 from the one hunt. The other two from the day before came from Medical Lake.
-
Great day before christmas break ended!
-
Young GSP getting it done!

Awesome pics
-
Only been fowl hunting 3 days but it was a fun 3 days !! To dang cold now ! Rather stay home sucked up to my wood stove ! Haga
-
Limited on greenheads yesterday afternoon in less than an hour. Short day of hunting=long night of plucking. I'm making up for my less than stellar big game season this year with birds.
-
Biggest pair of northern birds I've seen this year.
-
That drake is a beauty!
