Found this today while out hunting. Is it a wolf track?? Mabye a baby Bear?
What else could it be. My bood is a size 12 with a wide toe box.
-
Here is a decent size bear track as a reference. The bear tracks don't show the claw marks like the first pic.
-
Looks like it may be on a road? Could it have been a domestic dog track?
-
It's a bear I believe I see 5 toes

Always a possibility....but not likely based on location. I also did not see any other tracks near muddier portions of the road in close proximity. These tracks appeared on the road out of thick brush and dissapeared about 20 feet later. There was a big muddy spot about 100 yards further up and nothing.

Looks canine
-
Looks canine for sure. Looks too round for a bear.
-
5 claws in that. Wolf tracks show 4. Not wolf
-
Definitely a wolverine. Just kidding, but a wolverine would be cool. Probably bear.
-
Big coyote running--chasing . Not a bear
-
Oh no my dog got out again!! :chuckle: Canine and large but could be domestic.
-
As others have said, unless you've got Samsquatch feet that's a coyote or domestic dog. Wolf tracks are almost shockingly big, and notably wider in size and toe spacing than tracks of even big domestic dogs. That one looks too small and narrow if it is even canine. Maybe bear, but hard to be certain without seeing other tracks or track spacing.
A good resource: (https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwesternwildlife.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F04%2FTrackSizeComparison.jpg&hash=12926f08f999a62d758c565e4bc751069679376f)

Wouldn't that be a bear track since there are 5 toes?
-
:yeah:Dog's don't have 5 toes and the one claw mark is way too far back for any species of dog. It must have been a bear. Maybe it startled and pushed off from there and it's claws dug in just slightly. :dunno:

Double step print?? Dog..
-
Looks like bear Johnny👍

Bear
-
Bear all the way, Pad from side to side of the paw, bear.
-
Oops. Will delete my lack of thorough reading.

sometimes a hind foot will land basically inside the front track and give an appearance of extra toes/claws or wider pads.
-
What area is this? I don't need an exact location but a general area would be helpful.
-
I agree it looks canine, but I've spooked bears off hard-packed dirt roads and a forefoot lunging leaves a print very similar to that.
-
My dog has nearly a 4" track. Could be a front and rear track blended thus 5 claws.
-
Come on! I can't believe no one has brought up Bigfoot yet.... Running on the balls of his feet... Probably a young one though... :dunno:
