So I will be hunting sea ducks this year. my question is this, in the regs it say you allowed 2 scoter, now is that overall or can you have 2 of each species. I interpret it as you can only have 2 over all. just want to be completely sure first.

b Daily bag limit: 7 ducks, to include not more than 2 hen mallard, 2 pintail, 3 scaup, 2 canvasback, and 2 redhead statewide; and to include not more than 1 harlequin, 2 scoter, 2 long-tailed duck, & 2 goldeneye in western Washington.

Per outing. We have surf, white wing and common. However you mix it up, you can only shoot two scoters per day. Harlequins are the only ones listed in the regs, where it is "1" per season.

7 ducks, no more than: 2 hen mallard, 2 pintail, 2 redhead, 2 canvasback, 3 scaup.
There are no special limits on sea ducks in eastern wa, not that you'd want to shoot them anyway :chuckle:

I admit, haven't read the regs on sea ducks(sorry fat fingered my phone)for this year yet, but is it still only two of the following ( scoter, ge, old squaw, harlie,) per day? Then whatever else you can drum up. Or is it no more than what was listed? So I could have a bag of two scoter and two old squaw with a bonus harlie?

I carry a copy of the regs in my blind bag, if you are in cell service you can pull them up on a phone as well.

Goldeneye are only regulated on the west side to 2 birds per day. Everything else is the same. YOU can shoot 7 goldeneye on the east side if you want to.
