Title: Season dates next year
Post by: BigTines on November 06, 2016, 02:01:48 PM: Anyone know when the modern eastern season will be next year? This year is 15-25. Will next year be 14-24 or 21-31? Both dates are starting on a Saturday.

Never. In 2018 it will open on the 13th.

This is a slightly misleading statement. I have hunted on the 27th before so at some point it gets later not earlier.

That would be stupid. Seen a lot more mulies than whitetail in the units I hunt.

Oregon is this way and it works wonderfully. I hope they do make this change.

Lets hope it doesn't take that long to do the right thing. Not saying that all mule deer units have to go this way gonehuntin68 but there are some that need it.

And that's the latest it will ever start, as long as they continue setting the seasons the same as they have for many years now. It's the first Saturday in October after the 10th.
