Hey guys,
So I have this nice climber tree stand that I've never used. I've got a harness and will be safe, but how do you guys use your climbers? Do you climb up the tree with it every morning and then back down or do you use it more like a hang on stand? Meaning, climb up once in it, secure it to the tree and then hang steps to get up and down everyday? Just seems like a lot of work and especially noise going up and down the tree everyday with the climber... So how do you guys do it? I want to start using it next year for Blacktail hunting the westside. Thanks!

Up and down every time. otherwise you might as well just get a hang on stand. you can climb 20 feet in under a minute pretty easy and it might seem loud but ive had deer come by 5 minutes after getting set up.

I had a nice 3pt blacktail walk behind me as I removed the quiver from my bow and placed an arrow on it. I turned around and was shocked to see a deer walking behind me at 20yds, I hadn't been in the tree 2 minutes. I passed on that buck and here I sit with a tag in my wallet. He would have been my best archery buck. :bash:

Up in the morning. Down in the evening. I use it on private land so I leave it hung at the base of the tree so it's ready to climb next time out.

If you go slow you can definitely be quite. Although some stands might creak ... I have a Summit Mini Viper and it has been dead quite for me. Just make sure you have all the loose ends tied up and there aren't any metal buckles or anything else swinging around that will ding on the stand. Climb up and down every time. If Im going to continue to hunt from the same tree Ill leave the stand hooked up.

Up and down, put a good lock on it.

Up and down every time. LoneWolf makes some super quiet climbers. It might sound dumb but make sure you practice climbing before the season so you can do it quietly( or quieter.)
