My father inlaw had to move camp after he and his buddy Don killed two nice bucks. This female grizz with two cubs started coming around camp each night and then wouldn't leave.
The last night my father in law stayed in the truck with a light and the horn to keep her from trying to climb the tree after the deer.

another pic of her running around camp. He said there was a boar that was running around during the day but he never came in like her.

day-um....now that will make you second guess sleeping in a tent ! bet your father in law didn't get much rest either sitting in a truck all night but it beats the alternative of a piece of either nylon or canvas separating him from 600 lbs of solid muscle and 5" claws

She was jet trying to get some midnight snacks for her and the littleings. :chuckle:

They hunt near Grand Forks B.C about 8 miles from the border of Danville Wa. I hunted WT there with them and did well but up on the mountain hillsides the grizz tracks made me want to hunt with a partner LOL. The grizz aren't a problem like Cranbrook B.C but they are there. Their camp over the years set up the stove pipe to prevent black bears climbing the meat pole but this year the grizz were there and they didn't see any black bears.

That pic with the rope makes me think she was going to tie them up like a rib roast :chuckle:
Crazy stuff one of few critters that makes me nervous.

Those two glow in the dark dots on her head make for a great target. Aim right between both dots and let er rip!

Yikes! That would certainly make for many uneasy thoughts and hours...

No desire to have grizzlies in camp, ever. :yike:
