Title: What's Wrong with Garmin?
Post by: dmv9 on November 28, 2016, 05:35:59 PM

I got my Montana 610t and it has a mini-usb not a micro-usb.

So every other device I have, has a micro-usb. So know I need to carry an extra cable around.

Sheesh.

Very nice though, I can't wait to play with it!

Get a micro to mini dongle, use one cable.

Personally I think it's ridiculous how the Montana screen continues to light up in a backpack.
You can lock the screen so it won't go into any apps but it still lights up and off and on and off and on.

Simply runs down the battery all day long.

Sucks for someone packed in who doesn't want to carry a case of batteries.

When I got the Montana, the first thing I did was charge the battery and leave it on. It lasted about 4 hours before it died.

Not sure how they got 16 hrs as the runtime.

I charged it again and put the backlight at 50% and got much better numbers. Of course, they don't tell you that.
