So lately ive come across a couple spots / situations where i think a good blind would be a major help during late archery. What blinds do you guys use for bowhunting? Gimme the good and the bad.

Bad, tougher to hide from people. Less visibility than a tree stand, gets dark sooner. I think deer are more nervous about the "little sounds" from ground level than from a tree.
Good, scent control (so much that it's barely an issue), more comfortable seating, no wind to make you chilled, all your stuff is there and nothing can fall 20' to the ground, you can move more without being spotted.

Nit asking for the pros and cons of using a blind, ive already decided a blind is the way to go in a couple locations. Im asking for the good and bad qualities of specific models. Trying to decide what to buy. Guess i didnt word my original post well.

Oh haha. The Cabela's Zonz one is easy to brush in, not to heavy and plenty talk to stand once in a while. If i were buying another today, I'd go with that.
The hub style is tough to go wrong with, easy and spacious enough for drawing a bow.

Ameristep are cheaply made. They fade very quickly

LOVE my barronett!! I've got a grounder 350 but if i buy another, I'll get the Big Cat or Pentagon. The window height on the grounder 350 is a TOUCH too high with certain chairs, but they're tall enough to stand in. The windows also open full from the top, so I feel a bit more exposed in bright light than my friend's older barronett where the window shades are split in the middle. but 90'' across gives you LOTS of room! :tup: :tup:

my other blind is an ameristep bone collector. It's a fine blind, but it did fade pretty quick. I hunt them both, but with my kids hunting with me, or a friend, I like the space of the Barronetts!

brush them in good... get one that is large enough to move in and draw your bow without it sticking out the window... get one tall enough to stand in.. legs get cramped fast... if it fades, not too big a problem if brushed in good... ameristep has some new ones that have sliders instead of zippers... lot quiter ( those door and window zippers sound like a mack truck)... and think about a chair... just make sure it doesn't creek or squeak when you move in it...

Like previously said just look for one that you like the openings with. Sit in the demo ones picture yourself drawing. Make sure you don't contact and inside surfaces and the windows are big enough and where you would want them for your hunting situation. I love ground blind late season hunting. I bring a blanket and my little buddy propane heater. The deer don't seem effected what so ever with the propane heater running either. Make sure it has something to connect brush to the outside. Brush in good and they won't suspect a thing
